Policies on the ESG Information Disclosure and the Reporting Framework

Information disclosure policy

JRE strives to disclose ESG information to investors and other stakeholders.
In July 2017, the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) commenced passive investment based on ESG indices, thereby indicating its inclination to proactively make ESG investments and promote ESG ideas. ESG has thus been attracting more and more attention recently. JRE also regards it as its social responsibility to implement sustainability initiatives and disclose related information, and believes that it is necessary to maximize its unitholder value. Accordingly, we will promote ESG initiatives and the ESG information disclosure while fostering mutual communication with various stakeholders.
We will refer to Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI Standards), an international sustainability reporting framework, for the disclosure of a wide range of ESG information on our website, while also updating related information in our documents such as financial results, asset management reports, securities reports, and annual reports.

Reporting scope and period

In principle, the reporting scope shall be JRE’s entire portfolio and the report will be made every year.
The current reporting period is the fiscal year that started on April 1, 2016 and ended on March 31, 2017, but the report for the year does include some information about past periods.
